Un artista participa en una exposición para mostrar su trabajo. Un trabajo que se muestra al público y a sí mismo. Es por tanto un momento de aprendizaje y reflexión. Un alto en el camino para ver hasta dónde se ha llegado, qué acogida tiene, cómo continuar. En este sentido, nos parece de vital importancia hacer que jóvenes artistas tengan la oportunidad de vivir esta experiencia desde el comienzo de su carrera, en lo que puede ser su primera expo.
Participar en una exposición resulta muchas veces complicado para un artista joven. Se necesita tiempo y obra realizada. Tener un solo show es, en consecuencia, casi imposible hasta que no llevas un tiempo en los circuitos artísticos. Las residencias por su parte te piden años de experiencia y haber participado en diferentes exposiciones. Es por tanto para nosotros un reto el querer incentivar una residencia para artistas emergentes y cuyo resultado se verá presentado en una exposición. Sabiendo el reto que esto supone, nuestra intención es fomentar, desde las bases, un conocimiento y desarrollo sólido de la obra de un artista joven, con poca experiencia, pero con mucho potencial.
Esta Residencia ha sido posible gracias a la subvención del área de educación, cultura y deporte de Madrid para los espacios de creación contemporánea. 2022/2023

Residencies, on the other hand, require years of experience and having participated in different exhibitions. It is therefore a challenge for us to encourage a residency for emerging artists and whose result will be presented in an exhibition. Knowing the challenge that this implies, our intention is to promote, from the bases, a solid knowledge and development of the work of a young artist, with little experience, but with a lot of potential.
